We are a jazz band from Berlin with a love of acoustic music. Since 2021 we have been playing jazz and swing at weddings, birthdays, corporate events and exclusive occasions all over Germany. From an intimate jazz duo to a quartet with vocals that get under your skin: we tailor our line-up to your occasion and combine a professional appearance with the sheer joy of making music together.

Our set-up is deliberately lean: we need little space, are quick to set up and fit into the corner of a restaurant just as well as a ballroom, a garden party or a corporate gala.
We don’t use fixed setlists: we decide on the spot which song fits next – understated during the reception and dinner, or with a little more swing when the moment calls for it. Thanks to improvisation, every tune sounds a little different each time.
What defines us is the way we play together. We improvise a lot and never play a piece exactly the same way twice. Instead of running through a rigid programme, we read the room: are people raising a glass, eating or networking? Does the moment call for subtle background music, or for something that makes everyone look up? We respond to that spontaneously, whether at a wedding reception or at a company anniversary.

Our locations
We travel a lot, and we enjoy it. Founded in Berlin, our musical network has grown over the years, and today we play all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Thanks to our various locations, we save ourselves the long journey and you the travel costs – without you having to miss out on the live music and the spirit of the Weichsel Sharks.
