Our Freiburg story Authentic live music from Freiburg

Winni, Konrad and Viktor are the Weichsel Sharks Freiburg. The three of them met somewhere else entirely, though: in a small, picturesque village in the Ardèche. For more than twenty years they met there every summer for a musical holiday, with culinary discoveries, cold dips in the river and countless jam sessions deep into the night.

When Viktor returned to his old home town of Freiburg in 2025, one thing quickly became clear: the spirit of the Berlin Weichsel Sharks should move south with him. That is how our Freiburg jazz trio came about – three musicians with international experience, firmly rooted in the local scene and united by friendship, the joy of playing and a love of jazz.
