Jazz Band Cologne

Live jazz on the Rhine Handmade music for celebrations in Cologne

As a jazz band in Cologne, we play handmade live music with heart – a perfect match for a city where celebrating is a way of life. Whether it is a wedding on the Rhine, a corporate event at a Cologne venue or a festive reception: our jazz and swing bring your guests together, sometimes elegantly in the background, sometimes with plenty of swing.

Our story as a jazz band in Cologne Saxophone meets double bass

Oliver and Viktor did not actually meet in Cologne at all, but when they were very young – at a rather odd concert series in a shady bar in Mannheim. While the two of them were playing, the world boxing championship was showing on the projector at the same time. With the sound on, mind you.

But somehow everything is good for something: those evenings gave rise to a musical friendship that also survived the years in which their paths separated and Oli made Cologne his adopted home. All the better that today they are back on stage together as the Weichsel Sharks Cologne, at weddings and corporate events, with acoustic, handmade music and the same joy as back then – only, thankfully, without a boxing match in the background.
