Our Hamburg story We met on the red carpet
Sometimes you meet in the craziest places – on the red carpet, for example. That is exactly what happened to Viktor on saxophone and Felix on double bass when they first played together at a spontaneous performance with the actress Anna Schäfer at Filmfest Hamburg. It was so much fun that Viktor remembered it for a long time. Years later, when he was asked to provide the music for a film event in Hamburg with local musicians, it was immediately clear who he needed: Felix on double bass. So there we stood on a sunny afternoon in Hamburg-Barmbek, surrounded by cafés, cyclists and people out for a stroll, improvising melodies from the Great American Songbook. And so a new chapter began: the Weichsel Sharks Jazz Band Hamburg.

Whether it is a wedding, a corporate event or an official occasion: with elegant live jazz and swing we create an atmosphere in which your guests feel at ease. Depending on the event, we come as a duo or trio or as a quartet with vocals. Every line-up has its own sound, and all of them are handmade, acoustic and played with heart.

As a wedding band in Hamburg we accompany your day from the ceremony to dinner: with gentle pieces for the entrance, light, swinging tunes at the champagne reception and understated live music during the meal. We have played for wedding ceremonies by the Elbe as well as a relaxed wedding party at the Beach Club, and we are just as happy to play in a garden, a restaurant or a ballroom.
